Certified Drain Surveyor
The NADC approved training course will provide CCTV operatives with the ability to fully understand the practical aspects of a CCTV investigation, the ability to accurately identify defects, apply the correct codes and to make a condition assessment of the pipe with an appropriate repair recommendation.
There is a need in the drainage industry for companies that carry out domestic and light commercial CCTV Surveys to prove their competence in the area of CCTV investigation through a recognised qualification. The course has been designed by the WRC in conjunction with the NADC and the National Drainage Academy. It is fully compliant with the Domestic Drain Code section of the Manual of Sewer Condition Classification 5th Edition.
As approved trainers for the NADC we can now provide this course.
On successful completion of this course operatives will be fully competent in domestic drainage CCTV surveying and will receive a recognised and approved qualification. This gives individuals and companies a recognised method of demonstrating their abilities to employers and will ensure a standard of competency within the industry.
The course content includes the following:
– Drain ownership and sewerage law
– Domestic drain design, drain misconnections and components
– Drain investigation best practice
– CCTV survey practical setup and quality checks
– Domestic drainage classification coding
– Condition grading and the need for drain
– Selection and specification of the correct drain repair technique.
– Assessment will be via multiple choice questions, interpretation of drainage images and practical assessment of camera operation.
The duration of the course will be 2 days at a cost per candidate of £380.00. (This includes the £30.00 NADC registration card fee applicable to candidates). Courses for the South West are available at Exeter and Plymouth but our main Venue is at Swindon. For more event details and to book please click here or contact us.
Please note that all candidates will need a copy of the Manual of Sewer Condition Classification, 5th Edition – as this forms the basis of this qualification. The Drain Repair Book is also a useful learning tool.
